To assist physicians in the interpretation of RigiScan data, GOTOP Medical
is pleased to provide the following ten case studies conducted by the
Uro-Center® Of San Diego. The Uro-Center of San Diego has used the RigiScan ® Monitor to evaluate over 500 patients complaining of erectile dysfunction. Their current work-up consists of:
General medical history
Doppler study (pre-and post-exercise)
3 nights of RigiScan monitoring
From this extensive experience, Bonnie Johnson, N.P., Clinical Director fo the Uro-Center, has summarized the following guidelines by urologists at the clinic.

3-6 events/8-hour night
3 cm increase over resting tumescence
2 cm increase over resting tumescence

In addition, the following trends are considered abnormal when they occur during the majority of events over several nights:
distal penile shaft softening—the RigiScan trace would show a base reading of abnormal/normal tumescence
normal tumescence with significantly reduced or absent rigidity,
May occur at the base and tip of the penis concurrently
